A few words about recessions.
There have been seven recessions since 1970. Most of them lasted between 7 and 18 months. In about 40 years, they have totaled about 80 months and the good months numbered 400, or 83.3% of the total.
That means we have a recession just less than one year out of five, on average. Being a glass of water half full person, I'd say that we have four up years to every down year. Remember, I said early on that I have never lost money as a consultant. My income has, however, fluctuated more as a direct result of my attitude and actions than as a by-product of a recession.
During recessions, work a bit harder. Talk to more people. Do some of the things that you're too busy to do in other years and you'll be fine. Should you start your business now? There's no better time in the history of America, or in your lifetime.
