Every company needs an "Earth Brochure." What's that?" you ask.

I got this idea years ago, and I've used it successfully for many clients, as well as my own companies.

Here's what it is. The goal is to create a brochure that is so incredibly impressive that it moves it's viewer to ...

experience an emotion akin to watching the earth from outer space, or seeing an amazing sunrise, or the birth of a child, a magical aurora borealis, or something so remarkable that it was never forgotten. 

I set out to create such a brochure, and was able to do so with a 12-page brochure that told the story of what my company was about in a very unique way, comparing each step of our process with a beautiful process in nature.

A sunrise over a winding river, a reflection on a mountain lake, a tall tree growing in a deep wood, seasonal changes creating a mountain which took place over millions of years, an ever-transforming desert sand dune.

At that time I had an 8-person executive search business that charged significant fees for finding key people for companies. In our earth brochure context,

we matched our goals, values, lifestyles, families and experiences with our clients' goals, values, lifestyles, families and experiences.

With that brochure,

we altered the way our clients saw us and created an image for new clients that totally distanced us from our competitors.

Each brochure cost over $25 to print, but there was no one I sent one to personally, who did not become a client, and remain a client.

How do you create an earth brochure for your new business?

You must see your business, not as what you do, but what it does at its core in the process of shaping humanity.

If you can see your business as if you were looking at it from outer space, and see it transforming the planet, you have the idea. Now find a talented artist, a writer, and a photographer. Share your concept with them, and create a brilliant earth brochure.
